All travelers should also complete the Dominican Republic’s required electronic entry and exit form before traveling. Since requirements can change, we recommend reviewing the latest guidance for your nationality as the wedding approaches.

We do recommend bringing a small amount of cash for tipping. U.S. dollars are widely accepted and are commonly used to tip resort staff, airport porters, drivers, and excursion guides. Guests traveling from Colombia may also use Dominican Pesos, though exchanging a large amount of currency is generally not necessary.
If you plan to tip in U.S. dollars, bringing plenty of $1 bills before your trip is a good idea. There is also an ATM at the resort, but withdrawal and banking fees may apply.
Punta Cana is all about sunshine, relaxation, and celebrating! To help you prepare for the wedding weekend, here’s a list of travel essentials and recommended items to pack:
IMPORTANT: 🧴 Dominican Republic airport security requires all liquids in a zip-top bag for your travel-size liquids in your carry-on. We strongly recommend bringing a backup small ziploc bag just in case. Keeping all liquids together will help you move through airport security on your return trip.
We’ll take care of the celebration—you just bring your vacation spirit and get ready for an unforgettable weekend
November is one of the most pleasant times to visit Punta Cana, with average daytime temperatures around 84°F (29°C) and evenings cooling to a comfortable 74°F (23°C).
Our ceremony and cocktail hour have been thoughtfully scheduled later in the day to take advantage of the softer afternoon sun and refreshing Caribbean breeze, making outdoor celebrations much more comfortable.

🏝️ Resort & Destination

No. Macao Beach is a beautiful public beach, so you may see local families, surfers, vendors, and other visitors enjoying the shoreline alongside resort guests. This is completely normal and part of the authentic Punta Cana experience.
You may also notice a few friendly local beach dogs relaxing along the sand or sleeping under beach chairs. They’re a common sight throughout the area and are generally calm and accustomed to people. As with any unfamiliar animal, we recommend admiring them from a distance and avoiding feeding or approaching them.
Macao Beach is known for its beautiful turquoise water, wide stretch of golden sand, and natural coastline. While ocean conditions can vary from day to day, the beach is generally recognized for having no seaweed.
As with any beach, marine life may occasionally be present. Lifeguards are on duty, and a beach flag system is used to indicate daily swimming conditions, so we encourage guests to follow the posted flags and any instructions from resort staff.
If the ocean is a little too rough for your liking, don’t worry! Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana also offers several beautiful pools and an entire water park, providing plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy the Caribbean sunshine throughout your stay.
Dreams Macao offers a variety of restaurants and bars, and most restaurants do not require reservations. There are certain restaurants that are limited to Preferred Club guests on specific days.
Some restaurants may have a dress code for dinner.

Absolutely! The resort concierge can help you book a variety of exciting excursions and activities throughout your stay.
To ensure you don’t miss any of the wedding festivities, we kindly ask that you avoid booking excursions on Friday, November 5, and Saturday, November 6, 2027, as these are the days of our key wedding celebrations. Sunday and the days before or after the wedding weekend are perfect opportunities to explore everything Punta Cana has to offer.
